The patented & unique design of drill press vises are applied to two precise machined iron parts even without using any screw to fasten its bottom plate. As two jaws clamp  any work object, the bottom plate will hold steady & firm. But to other regular drill press vise, main jaw & bottom plate are separated and fastened by screws. As two jaws clamp and start generating holding power, main jaw of this regular vise would jump out of its moving track because bottom plate looses.
